Summers Last Hurrah

Hi everyone, I hope you all have had a great summer!  It has been a hot one for sure and my gardens have sure felt it.  The perennials are winding down before the Autumn chill sets in and I can't wait for cooler temps!  I thought I would share a few pictures that I took this morning around the yard.

These are my front gardens. They are two years old and I am hoping next year they will fill in even better. We had quite the problem with Japanese beetles this year eating everything in sight.  We got a few new pieces of yard junque this summer.  Those are frogs sitting under the cement umbrella. I couldn't resist when I saw the set at a local antique shop.

The old rusty stove grate on the front stairs holds herbs.  Hubby has a tiller addiction and we now have 4 in various places around the yard plus birdhouses!

This is a view of the side of the house below. Woops the old red sled is still out in August!  I guess it will stay through the Winter now :)

Below is the side of the garage and outhouse ( shed now). This is where I use my nautical junque. The old rusty funnel on the side of the garage did have a plant in it but the hot sun did it in.

Keep cool and enjoy every day!
Nadine

I do trust all of the concepts you’ve presented for your post. They are really convincing and can certainly work. Nonetheless, the posts are too brief for newbies. May just you please lengthen them a little from next time? Thanks for the post.
