Oh how I would love to paint this little cupboard in our den/computer room, but hubby likes it the way it is. It holds his things so I don't push it too much. I think it would look great in distressed black paint. One of these days ....lol It is full of his old bottles, powder horns and assorted small shore bird carvings. The ship in the bottle on top was given to his grandfather so the story goes. It was made by someone on the ship when they came to this country from Italy. It is an Italian scene in it and a treasured piece in our home. The sampler on the chair was done by his mother.

I have been thru this a couple times with my Honey...he hates to paint wood but he always loves it waaay better after he gives in...I think black is th way to go..it will showcase all of his treasures plus be awesome in your decorating scheme!
